Anna + Matt. Rosemary Beach Wedding Planners

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to put a little bit of a different spin on our blogs — and share some of our favorite wedding videos!  We love pretty pictures as much as the next person, but there’s just something about watching one of our weddings “in action” that gets the ol’ heartstrings into a tangled web of joyous reminiscence, and the tear factories into mass-production mode.

We often hear from couples that having a wedding video isn’t as much a priority as their photos, and oftentimes it’s either added at the last minute, or not a consideration at all.  While we always want to steer our couples in the right direction in terms of budget and style, we also want to be sure we provide as much guidance that we’re able to when making the decision to hire a videographer or not.  If you’re on the fence, be sure to check back over the next few weeks as we showcase several weddings that capture — live and in action — the true emotion of a wedding day.  And just think, there may be nothing that your future offspring love more than to watch mommy and daddy tying the knot each year on your anniversary.  How awesome is that?

Today’s video feature is of Anna and Matt’s recent Rosemary Beach wedding.  We say it all the time that we’re beyond blessed to have some super-sweet and amazing clients, but this family tipped the sweetness scale beyond its legal limits!  :) Really, what a sweet, gracious, happy, genuine bunch of people.  We loved each and every step of the way planning with sweet Anna and her adorable mom, Leslie, and seeing it all come together on that gorgeous October day was nothing short of awesome. As their planner, watching their wedding video takes the level of emotion to a whole new level. Well done, Cali, of Silver Shade Studios!

XOXO,

Lauren + Steve | Rosemary Beach Wedding Planner

If it’s not totally obvious by drooling over their wedding photos, courtesy of the amazing duo over at Paul Johnson Photography, Lauren and Steve are adorable and ridiculously IN LOVE. Totally the perfect combination for us!

We met sweet Lauren early in 2013, just after their engagement. We were super-stoked to start right away on their upcoming December wedding, as talks of wintry-themed pretties circled the air. Lauren and Steve knew they wanted a Rosemary Beach wedding, as it’s where Lauren’s family lives and runs the super-cute bookstore, The Hidden Lantern. Our winter wedding plans took a little turn, however, when they got word that Steve, who serves in the Army, would be deployed after just a few weeks of being Mr. & Mrs. We immediately took the task of moving their wedding to an earlier date off their plates, and let them spend time focusing on the important part of planning their wedding: each other.

Lauren and Steve’s wedding was such a sweet reminder of how keeping the focus on love will magically allow everything else to fall into place. They were such a joy to work with: completely trusted our recommendations, insight, advice, and experience in planning weddings. We love when a plan comes together, but we love it even more when a sweet couple’s wedding is shaped and brought together into one big happy celebration of two people being in love.

Congratulations, Lauren and Steve! We adore you to pieces and keep you both in our thoughts and prayers!

It’s Arden’s IST-ivarsary!

It’s hard to believe it’s November — and almost the end of 2013!  We girls here at It’s a Shore Thing have had a busy and fun year, filled with lots of sweet couples, a new IST baby (Jen1’s sweet, little Jack just turned 6 months old!), and being fortunate enough to welcome the very sweet, and very talented Arden Sanders to our team!  In fact, it’s been exactly one year since we brought Arden into our wedding planning family,  so let’s show her a little love!

Arden’s no stranger to 30A weddings — we formed an instant bond after partnering on several events during her time working with Seaside.  There are certain personality traits that just “fit” with planning weddings, and Arden possesses them all: sweet, organized, calm, reassuring, laid-back, and just downright fun.  She also shares our love of chocolate, giggles, toes in the sand, and pretty things (like shoes and purses).   Other loves include her sweet husband of six years, Layton, whom she married after graduating from the University of Alabama in 2007.  A true wedding professional, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Arden as part of our IST family — and our brides couldn’t be more thrilled, either!

Arden’s been making wedding dreams happen like nobody’s business — and we have the pictures to prove it!
