Natalie + Parker’s Seaside Wedding Video

You know what are really fun?  Weddings (duh, right?).  Especially weddings where the bride and groom are so laid back and sweet and just really, really focused on being in love.  Weddings where you click with the couple from the very first telephone “hello”.  And weddings where, when all is said and done, the success of the day can be measured not only by how incredible the day turned out, but in the emotion that’s stirred up when we, as the planners, get to relive the day through their wedding video.  Getting to see this side of things — the entire reason behind the wedding we’ve spent hours and hours (and hours and hours and hours…) laboring over ensuring no stone is left unturned — the love and sheer awesomeness between two people so obviously destined to be together . . . puts a really heartwarming and humbling spin on things.

I’m pretty sure 2013 was the year of genuinely amazing and downright awesome couples for us.  From my very first phone call with sweet Natalie, I knew she was going to be the perfect addition to our little IST family of couples.  When the bride says, “I totally trust you and everyone you recommend”, you know the wedding is going to be fabulous.  :) And then when she tells you that the only thing her groom cares about (aside from marrying her, of course!) is having local band Heritage provide the reception entertainment, you’re immediately convinced that it was fate that created this match made in wedding planning heaven.

Thanks to Pure 7 Studios for sending this incredible couple our way; what a blessing to have gotten to know such truly awesome people!

Now, do yourselves a favor and  go watch this video from Momentus Films in its entirety.  This week sums up our recent “video series” of blogs, and we’re incredibly excited to share Natalie & Parker’s film with y’all!

Taylor + Jeff’s Rosemary Beach Wedding

We met Taylor and her parents a little less than a year before their September 2013 wedding in Rosemary Beach.  Our initial meeting took place at our satellite office — the Amavida coffee shop in Rosemary — and we were an instant match made in wedding planning heaven!  Referred to us by one of our sweet  and adorable past brides, Jenn, we knew right away this was going to be a fun wedding to plan.  Why, you ask?  Well, because this was a New Orleans crowd, and we know a New Orleans crowd knows how to boogie.

Planning Taylor & Jeff’s wedding was a breeze — because they were so easygoing and trusted our recommendations and advice without ever batting an eye.  Add to that an overdose of a hilarious father of the bride, super-sweet mama (for real, LOVE them), and a sweet, sweet down-to-earth bride and you have the formula for an amazing wedding planning experience!

Keeping up the tradition of our recent video features, we’re excited share Taylor & Jeff’s film from the New Orleans videographer they brought along for the weekend, Bella Productions.  I seriously can’t get enough of seeing our weddings in action!

There wasn’t a thing about this day I would have changed — Myrtie Blue went above and beyond in their phenomenal design and florals, the No Idea Band was incredible as always, and Townsend Catering + Confections on the Coast kept everyone’s bellies full to the brim.  Facetime Photobooth was a HUGE hit, as always (because really, who doesn’t need a photobooth at their wedding?).  And many thanks to Kristin Guin Photography, also out of New Orleans, for the great photos!  More than just a successful and amazing wedding, it was such a blessing to be a part of Taylor & Jeff’s day.  Love you guys!  (PS – Let’s schedule that margarita date the next time you’re in town!!)

admin - Thank you, Joetta! Taylor & Jeff’s photographer provided us with so many fabulous images of their wedding — it was tough to pick which were our favorites! We typically choose to feature images that highlight the fun and emotion of the day, as well as some of the personal and fun details the couple chose to incorporate. Check out Kristin Guin Photography for lots more of their wedding day photos! :)

Taylor + Ashley | Anna’s Veranda Wedding Video

Ok you guys. I don’t know that I can even write this blog post without totally getting all misty-eyed and ridiculous, but I’m going to try.  I try to keep our blogs relatively, uh, “concise” (which is really a matter of opinion, right?), but sometimes I get a little out of hand talking about these weddings.  And the reason for that is because, well, I really (reallyreallyreally) love my brides.  Really.  I’m writing this from my (Jen2) perspective (versus it being an IST team effort), because, as most of you know, each of  us planners has our own little family of brides.  And I can’t even tell you just how stinking blessed I was to have these girls come into my life.  For real.

From the very first phone call with Taylor (who is a really smart but equally as hilarious lawyer-type, by the way), to meeting her and Ashley in person (who is also wicked smart and funny and fun and probably the most level-headed of the three of us), I was like, “oh yes. new friends.  love them.  want to hang out and talk about sparkles and pretty things and Cardinals baseball all day long.”).  Oh.  Did I mention that Taylor is a Cardinals baseball fan?  Instant points and total meant-to-be-ness.  But alas, we had a wedding to plan.  But we still totally giggled over a lot of things throughout the course of our planning/budding friendship, and there was certainly no shortage of sparkly-things and Cardinals’ discussions.  There may have been mention of a refund of our service fee if they could get my pal David Freese to attend the wedding (sans-date, of course, duh).  But David Freese is on my naughty list for leaving the Cards, so it wouldn’t have worked out anyway had he shown up.  There would have been a lot of drama and fighting and a nasty breakup, so I should probably be thanking my new friends for sparing he and I both the inevitable heartbreak.  But I digress.  Wedding. Talk about the wedding, Jen.

I honestly can’t take a lot of credit for this wedding.  It was definitely a MAJOR team effort, but not just between all us hard-working wedding vendors, but with gobs and gobs of personal touches from Taylor and Ashley.  Think backyard BBQ meets beachy-glam.  So fun, so cool, so detailed, and so them.  There were books involved in their first look and in the table names, library cards used as escort cards, vintage post cards for guests to sign (and later be mailed to the happy couple by their mothers), SPARKLY CHEVRON LINENS (I want to drape my entire house in that linen) — you name it, these girls thought of it.  We pride ourselves on helping couples to personalize their wedding, but I have to say, I may be giving my new pals a call here and there for some inspiration when I’m stuck for new ideas.  😉

We’ve been sharing a series of wedding videos lately, for a number of reasons:  1) Wedding videos are awesome.  2) Wedding videos make people cry (in a happy-awesome way, not like a my-cat-just-got-run-over-by-a-bulldozer kind of way).  3) We love our videographers just as much as our photographers, and like to give them props, too.

There is SO much more to this happy love story, and SO much more (yes, really) I can’t wait to share once we’re able to share the images from our sweet dear wesleyann, so I’m going to leave this story with a “To be Continued…” for today, and share this incredible ceremony and reception highlights reel from Pure7 Films.

You guys.  This is seriously just one of the best things ever.  Taylor & Ashley: Y’all are like two of the best people on the planet, and  I’m so glad to call you my dear friends.

Paige + Patrick | Rosemary Beach Wedding Video

Have you ever thought, “I wonder what I would do if it rained on my wedding day”? Well, if you have, you should probably tuck this {reallyreallyreallyamazing} wedding deep into the crevices of your brain and reference it when the time comes to have to consider such a thing. Because, well, it sometimes rains in Florida (I know! Crazy!).

Not only did it rain on Paige & Patrick’s wedding day, it downpoured.  But you know what?  It didn’t matter.  With a wedding team like this, the only thing this sweet couple had to worry about was twirling around the dance floor as Mr. & Mrs. and being adorable and in love and making the very hard decision between polka-dot sunglasses or a sparkly hat in the photobooth.  Their wedding day was nothing short of phenomenal, and between the IST duo of Jen1 and Arden, and our entire family of amazing wedding pros, Mother Nature wasn’t about to rain on anyone’s wedding parade that day.  Well, you know.

We featured this Rosemary Beach wedding and the incredible photos from Dear Wesleyann several months back, and we’re super-excited to share their ceremony and reception highlights from our talented friends at Sixpence Productions!

Laura + Shannon’s Seaside Wedding

A while back, we featured this gorgeously romantic Seaside wedding, and the insanely, out-of-this world photos from our talented friends at Paul Johnson Photography. We also included the link to their wedding video, but have since gotten quite tech-savvy and can now actually share the video in the body of a blog!  We’re feeling pretty darn close to being one with the cool kids’ crowd, let me tell you.

This wedding was nothing short of beautiful — and to see it all come together was like, “whoa”.  Really.  A TON of hard work always goes on behind the scenes of planning a wedding, and this was no exception.  From trying to keep a small, nearby rooftop wedding from stopping our band (yup, that totally happened) to putting out an APB for a stolen golf cart (yup, also happened), Laura and Shannon were none the wiser and could go on enjoying their day as planned.  We’re pretty positive this video from Momentus Films captures that quite amazingly.  These two are madly in love, and we are madly in love with the fact that we could make this wedding day come to life for them.  Enjoy!
