Brittany + Wilson

What a perfect wedding . . . for the perfect couple!  We often comment on how the “nice” brides and grooms seem to get SO much more than they ask for!  This is a perfect example!!!

We planned this November event for almost a year – and had a blast every time we got together with Brittany and Wilson . . . . and to make things even better, their families were awesome too!!

A couple of tidbits about this wedding . . . .

The ceremony set up was our biggest challenge.  Because the guest list had risen to 350  –  we had special permission to use the Eastern Green for a maximum of 2 hours for the ceremony . . . . which meant that 250 chairs had to be set up . . . in a circular fashion . . .  within 30 minutes!   Set-up went smooth as silk . . . ceremony on time . . . . and breakdown with time to spare!!!  Wow!  (Thank God for graph paper . . . . after we drew it out, we were able to sleep! )

Wilson is in a band (note the gift from his bride was a new guitar) and so the thought of putting his trust in us to choose the perfect “wedding band” was weighing heavy on his mind.  About an hour into the reception, Wilson approached Cheryl & I with a huge smile and told us that he couldn’t be more happy with the band!!  Yeah!!!

Wilson also wrote a song for Brittany – which he sung at the reception!  Not a dry eye anywhere!  Kudos to Wilson!

One of our top 10 favorites of 2008!!

Thanks to Paul & Mecheal Johnson for the amazing photographs . . . . and thanks to the girls at Southern Weddings Magazine for making this beautiful photo collage.

May 17 – Shelley & Sanner – Watersound Wedding

Sometimes when planning a  “Destination Wedding” – we work closely with the MOB (Mother of the Bride) . . . and this MOB in particular was so much fun!!!  We couldn’t wait to hear the latest and greatest every time Kathy would call!  We just adored her!

When we FINALLY met Shelley & Sanner we were in awe . . . what a beautiful couple . . . and soooo in love!!!   The wedding was at the Seaside Chapel with the reception following at the exclusive Watersound Beach Club.  These pictures paint the perfect story of their amazingly beautiful wedding!

July 19 – Brooke & Tim

What a perfect day and a perfect location for a JULY wedding at the beach!!!  Brooke & Tim chose to have their wedding ceremony on the pristine beaches of Sandestin with their reception just up the stairs at Finz Loft.  Some of the fun things that we incorporated into their reception include the 3 flavors of cupcakes, the “custom” first dance followed by choreographed family dances and concluding with the BEST karaoke vocalists ever!!  In fact . . . I believe we had one of the America Idol contestants there!!!  Definitely a night to remember!!!

Once again, we had the privilege of working with an amazing team of wedding professionals.  While we can’t give that information away on our blog (that’s what you need us for)  . . . we would be happy to help you choose your own AMAZING team for your wedding!!!

April 18 & 19 – Destination Wedding Weekend – Nicole & Mark

There are some weddings that just stand out in my mind . . . and this is definitely one of my top five favorite weddings; partially because I just adored Nicole (the bride) and Mark (the groom) – as well as their parents. . . and partially because every detail was covered beautifully!

Nicole & Mark were not only interested in planning a spectacular wedding.  They wanted to treat each and every guest to an entire weekend of activities!  They started with a Welcome Party on Thursday night at Bud & Alley’s in Seaside.  Then, they hosted a “Miami Merger” rehearsal dinner on Friday night – followed by more fun at Bud & Alley’s.  On Saturday, the wedding at Seaside and reception at Watercolor were amazing – followed by more fun at Bud & Alley’s.  And on Sunday, they hosted a brunch!!

Needless to say – their guests were treated to a very nice destination wedding weekend!

Mac was caught by surprise as the bagpiper played the bride’s processional

(he thought it was to be a violinist) as well as the recessional.  Very dramatic!

Renee - This wedding was so easy Jennifer! Anne E and Mac were such a pleasure to work for! Anne E’s dad told me in the car when I was driving him to the beach house really quick, that she wasnt the kind of bride to fuss so much with the little things…earrings, etc. he said, she was more focused on the boys and this great event in her life… he was so proud of her, and I think of his new son-in-law, too. Just couldnt say enough good about them!
How ’bout that traditional Danish song from the Brady Brunch! I thought that was a funny highlight of their reception!
